Text by Phone

• 1). Press the "Menu" or "Programs" button on your phone. Each model is a little different, but usually there is a button you can press on the screen or the front of the phone to get a list of programs.
  
  
• 2). Select the "Messaging" program. Then choose "Text Message" or "New Message," depending on your phone.
  
  
• 3). Enter the phone number of the person you want to send the message to in the "To" field. Some phones have a button near this field to let you scroll through your contacts to choose one, so you can use that method too.
  
  
• 4). Scroll to, or touch, the large empty text field. Enter your message in the field. When you are done typing your message, press "Send" to send the message.
  
  

Text by Computer

• 1). Go to T-Mobile's website (see Resources). Click the "Login" button on the top right of the screen. Enter your phone number and password, then click "Log In."
  
  
• 2). Click on the "Connect and Share" tab near the top of the screen, then click on "Send a Text Message" from the list of options.
  
  
• 3). Enter the recipient's phone number in the "To" field, and your own information in the "From" field. Type your message in the message box and click "Send" when you are done.
