How to Unlock Codes for a Motorola SLVR Phone

    • 1). Find the IMEI or (international mobile equipment identification) code for your phone. Do this by removing the battery from your phone and looking underneath it. There should be a sticker with a 15 digit number, write this number down. If it's not there simply dial *#06# and wait a few seconds. The code will appear in your phone.

    • 2). Find a website that has mobile phone unlock codes for the Motorola SLVR. There are several that you can look at including, MotoUnlockNow.com, Unlocking.com, and GSM Liberty (see resources below). Most sites charge a fee for their services which usually costs between $12.99-$25.99 as of 2010.

    • 3). Go to the site and enter your IMEI code in the drop down menu. Then select your mobile service provider, country where the phone is registered and enter Motorola for make and SLVR for model. Click on "Buy" and provide your payment details along with a valid e-mail address.

    • 4). Wait a day or two and check your e-mail for your unlock codes and instructions.

    • 5). Write down the number that you find in the code exactly as you see it.

    • 6). Turn off your Motorola and remove the battery and SIM card. Replace your SIM with one from a different network.

    • 7). Replace the battery and turn the phone back on. When the screen comes on it you see a message that says "Enter Subsidy Code." Input the code that you received from the unlock site with no extra spaces and click "Ok." Wait for a minute and the phone will flash and beep a few times. It will then turn off and turn back on. When the display shows the new network and logo will be at the top. Congratulations you've unlocked your Motorola SLVR.
