American automotive manufacturer Chevrolet has been producing cars in the United States for close to one hundred years. In 1990, the company introduced the popular mid-sized Lumina, which was produced until 2001. The 1994 Chevy Lumina came in standard sedan and coupe body styles and was the last model before a major redesign and expansion of the line in 1995. - The standard sedan came with a 3.1 liter, 140 horsepower V6 engine with 185 lb-ft of torque, though this was upgraded to a 3.4 liter, 210 horsepower V6 engine with a torque of 215 lb-ft for the Z34 coupe model. Both models came with a four-speed, automatic overdrive transmission and front wheel drive.
- A basic 1994 Chevy Lumina sedan could attain an estimated 19 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway, while the Z34 was rated at 17 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway.
- All 1994 Luminas came with four-wheel disc anti-lock brakes and power steering. They also came with a strut front suspension and front anti-roll bar. The Z34 model came with a rear anti-roll bar as well.
- While the basic sedan had four doors, the European model and the Z34 had only two. All were 198 inches in length, 71 inches in width, and 53 inches in height. The wheelbase was 108 inches for all 1994 models.
- The 1994 Lumina had standard comfort features including air conditioning, a four-speaker AM/FM stereo system, power doors, and front reading lights. Optional features included a cassette or CD player, cruise control, a radio-theft alarm, cell phone pre-wiring, and a rear defroster.
