Alien in the Tub
My story took place in Ashtabula County in northeast Ohio in 1997. The house that my family and I lived in at the time has a history of paranormal phenomena. Phenomena including such things as demonic and angelic encounters, objects disappearing and reappearing, doors locking, unlocking, opening and closing, shadow people and shadow creatures, and finally noises like loud banging on doors, footsteps and your name being called by people you cannot see.
Some of these things happened with such frequency that some of the occurrences you either ignored or at lease did not knowledge as much as you did the first several times that they happened.
In the spring of 1997, an event occurred that was new and very unexpected. I was sleeping on the top bunk of some bunk beds that were across from the bedroom door. From the bunk beds you could see down the hall to my parents' bedroom. When on the top bunk bed, you can also see into the bathroom that was just a few feet from my bedroom door. I was sleeping facing the wall when I woke up with the need to use the rest room. As I was turning over to get down out of bed, I glanced down the hall to the bathroom and saw something that to this day I find odd, weird, and completely bizarre.
In the bathtub was this creature that looked sort of like an alien known as a grey. This creature had a similar head shape and eye shape, but was definitely not a grey alien. It was short, about the size of a 5- or 6-year-old, and had white skin with just a hint of a slight tan color mixed in, eye lids, and a mouth similar to that of a human.
This creature, whatever it was, had a washcloth in one hand and was going through the shampoo and body wash bottles with the other. It was smelling them and then would put some on the washcloth and use it like it was taking a bath.
I observed this creature for a good 30 seconds before it looked up and saw me staring at it. I think it was not expecting anyone to see it because as soon as it saw me looking at it, the thing froze like a deer caught in the headlights of a car. I decided to wait until it was later in the morning, since it was the wee hours of the morning to get out of bed. I eventually fell back to sleep the the thought, "Well, that was odd." I didn't feel threatened by it or felt like it was evil. I think that it was just a curious little thing and liked to smell good.
