Consider a team, playing without a coach; that team doesn't have clear objectives and goals. In the process of coaching there are two parties involved; one is coacher and the other is coachee; coachee is the one going through the coaching process. Coaching is basically a two way process and requires equal anticipation from both the parties. Both the parties work in to achieve goals and objectives. Many people besides coaching tend to pursue their career as a coacher. They work to facilitate the individuals, who find it difficult to identify and achieve their goals and objectives. It indeed is a tough task to focus on; identifying the goals and objectives and keep hitting the target with minimal or no risk of going astray.
The importance of coaching has been realized when people started getting benefited from this process. They were able to increase and enhance their performance; their productivity has arisen and they are able to work in the most efficient and effective manner. We can say that through coaching, a person can maximize his/her performance, ability, skills, knowledge and behavior. At times, often people find it difficult to survive in a diversified workplace or society. In coaching, identification and polishing the strength is the first and foremost step. Making the coachee realizing that he/she possesses a substantial gives them a confidence and a positive energy to move on with the process. It enables them to look forward to their weaknesses, lacking and ways to minimize and overcome them.
Weakness
It indeed is hard and challenging to first of all identify a weakness and working in collaboration with the coacher to minimize and eradicate the lacking and weakness. Although completely eradicating the weakness might not be possible but coaching helps in alleviating the weakness up to a greater extent.
Challenges
Coaching process is centered towards achieving challenging goals. Coaching develops the skills and adequate problem solving skills in the coachee so that they work to complete challenging tasks.
Team Work/Building
The important thing when we talk about working in an organization is to work under a boss and in a team. Working in a team is the most essential thing to achieve individual as well as team goals. Every individual goal contributes to a team goal and fulfilling individual goal is as important as achieving the objectives and goals of the team.
