Career Highlights:
  • Hit .321 lifetime and better than .300 in 10 of his 15 seasons.
  • Led the National League in steals four times and played on four pennant-winning teams. The 1925 Pirates won the World Series, with Cuyler driving in the winning run against Walter Johnson of the Senators.


  • In 1925, he hit .357 and lked the NL in triples (26) and runs scored (144).
  • Nickname of Kiki, invented by sportswriters, rhymes with "eye-eye".

After Retirement:
  • Was a coach with the Cubs and Red Sox when he died of a heart attack before the 1950 season.
