Fox Announces the 2007-08 Television Schedule

An interesting and somewhat confusing season is headed our way on Fox. Four new and very different dramas await eager viewers, but you'll have to hold your enthusiasm for two of them until January. Once January arrives, just about the entire schedule shifts gears to make room for another exciting season of 24 and American Idol. I'm going to give a nod for the most promising new drama to The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

Get those DVR's ready folks, this season on Fox is sure to knock your socks off!

New Series in 2007-08

K-Ville
Starring: Anthony Anderson as Marlin Boulet, Cole Hauser as Trevor Cobb, Maximiliano Hernández as Billy “K-9” Faust, Blake Shields as Jeff “Glue Boy” Gooden, Tawny Cypress as Ginger “Love Tap” LeBeau, John Carroll Lynch as Captain James Embry.

Premise: Almost two years ago, our hearts went out to the victims of Hurricane Katrina. This series revolves around a small police force still on the scene of this disaster and how they deal with criminals in the wake of tragedy.

New Amsterdam
Starring: Nikolaj Coster Waldau as John Amsterdam, Zuleikha Robinson as Eva Marquez, Alexie Gilmore as Dr. Sara Dillane, Stephen Henderson as Omar.

Premise: In 1642, when a Dutch soldier saves the life of a Native Indian girl in New Amsterdam (which then became New York City), she then conjured up an ancient spell that gave him immortality until he finds his one true love.

In present day, John Amsterdam, a New York homicide detective, has seen and lived many lifetimes, but will he ever find the right woman?

Canterbury's Law - Mid-Season
Starring: Julianna Margulies as Elizabeth Canterbury, Linus Roache as Matthew Canterbury, Ben Shenkman as Russell Cross, Trieste Dunn as Molly McConnell, Jocko Sims as Chester Fields.

Premise: Fox takes a chance on yet another law drama with Julianna Margulies as a defense attorney who likes to bend the rules at a law firm in Rhode Island.

The Sarah Connor Chronicles - Mid-Season
Starring: Lena Headey as Sarah Connor, Thomas Dekker as John Connor, Richard T. Jones as James Ellison, Summer Glau as Cameron.

Premise: The movie made famous by Arnold Schwarzenegger and Linda Hamilton picks up after Terminator 2. Running from the law, Sarah decides to fight for her freedom and save mankind by going after the very people and machines that want Sarah and her son John dead.
