Sleep For a Better Life - Get More Sleep

Many people do not stop and think about the importance of sleep in everyday life.
It's often the bridge between the happiness you desire and the happiness that you seek out of life.
Maybe you struggle with insomnia and want to get more sleep, or perhaps you just want to get better quality sleep so you can spend less time lying down and more time living.
Whatever the case may be, its imperative that practice the right sleep practices to get to where you want to be.
In other articles I will talk about specific techniques for getting better sleep, but keep in mind, none of them should be taken as law.
I'm not a doctor, nor do I claim to be, I'm just giving you advice that has been passed to me and hoping you can benefit from it as well.
Moving on, I want to discuss the importance of sleep in your life.
If you take a moment to think about all your dreams and desires, you need to consider that your awake during most of them.
I don't think your deepest dreams and desires are you just sleeping all day.
For instance, a lot of people want more money, or they want more time, or they want to be able to spend more time with their family, or they want a better job.
If your a younger you want a girlfriend, or boyfriend, or an improved quality in your relationships.
Whatever the case may be, sleep effects all of them! With proper sleep, you can have the energy and motivation to pursue these dreams and desires.
Without proper rest, you might as well just kiss them good bye.
When you are lacking in sleep, you won't have the stamina to continue, you'll be exhausted, add a little bit of stress to that and you'll be a wreck.
Depriving yourself of sleep is a downward spiral that often hurts you more than it helps.
Everyone knows that person who never seems to have enough energy throughout the day, perhaps your that person.
When you don't have energy, what is it that you feel like doing? Nothing.
What does nothing produce? Nothing.
One might argue that by forgoing a couple hours of sleep per day to get "extra" work done will help get things done.
However, think about your focus when you are tired.
I don't about you, but I tend to get a lot less done when my focus is low.
When I'm rested and energized, I not only get more done, but I get more good work done.
At the end of the day, those couple of hours that you thought would help you get more done, actually end up robbing you of time and productivity in the long-term.
That's only the beginning.
As you deprive yourself of sleep, possible health problems can start to rise as well.
All of this is just to say that sleeping does indeed affect every aspect of your life.
So get your proper rest.
Don't cheat yourself.
As Vince Lombardi once said "Fatigue makes cowards of us all.
" Be a warrior, not a coward.
Go to sleep.
