Can You Write a Strong Concluding Sentence?



Here are sample responses to the study questions that follow the paragraph developed with examples--"Confessions of a Slob"--on page one.
  1. The place transitions in this paragraph include the following: "Starting in my bedroom," "on top," "There," "alongside," 'behind," "Next to," "To the left," "To the right," and "beside it."
  2. This is the transition sentence: "A trail of shoes and sneakers leads you out of the bedroom and into the bathroom."


  1. Various answers are possible. Here's the concluding sentence that appeared in the student's original paragraph: "Now, if all this doesn't convince you that I'm a hopeless slob, maybe you'd like to move in with me: I need a new roommate!"
