  Lahore, Pakistan's center for arts and culture, is the country's second largest city. It may not have the financial clout of Karachi or the diplomatic air of Islamabad, but Lahore more than makes up for it with its intriguing history, rich architecture and colorful bazaars. • Set near the Shimla Hill area - which is not an actual hill - Holiday Inn is a four-star property with 120 guest rooms. Wi-Fi connectivity is on offer in the hotel's public areas, and wired Internet is available in guest rooms. • There are two luxury five-star hotels in Lahore: the Pearl Continental and the Avari. The two hotels are within walking distance of each other on the city's main thoroughfare, Mall Road, although you'd be loathe to walk across this road during any one of Lahore's several "rush hours."
