Healthcare in America: An Emerging Industry
Healthcare in America
An Emerging Industry
By Erin Kent Magee
1st Republican Presidential Candidate from the State of Florida
According to a recent report from the Congressional Research Service, there is no consensus among members of Congress on how to reform our healthcare system, although agreement has been reached on one point; it is lacking in quality.
This conclusion was inescapable. In fact, there is no system of care for those who are chronically ill. Any system for the care and treatment of chronic disease could never be based on the current system of doctors and nurses, who are trained to deal with medical emergencies.
We now know that all chronic illness – such as cancer, cataracts, diabetes and osteoporosis – is a result of malnutrition, and can only be cured by means of nutritional therapy. Nevertheless, the chronically ill are referred to doctors with no training in this field.
Cancer patients are subjected to surgery, radiation and chemotherapy. They lose their hair and become a shadow of their former selves.
Many doctors consider cancer to be incurable; and, if a patient survives for 5 years after treatment begins, that treatment is considered a "success".
The truth is, cancer is not an incurable disease! Doctors such as Russell Blaylock, Joel Furman, Julian Whitaker and Nicolas Gonzalez, leaders in the field of nutritional therapy, have long been treating cancer patients, and some of their patients have been cancer free for more than 20 years!
Most diabetics receive injections of insulin, usually self-administered; a painful treatment with no benefit, since their disease is caused by insulin insensitivity, not by a lack of insulin. Some physicians have even prescribed dangerous drugs, such as Avandia.
Diabetes is another disease that has long been considered "incurable". The truth is, diabetes can be cured – and, in fact, is being cured – by means of nutritional therapy.
Elderly patients with cataracts are still being told there is no non-surgical cure for their condition. Studies have shown that two nutrients – Lutein and Zeaxanthin – protect the eye from macular degeneration and cataract formation; and, moreover, that cataracts are being reversed through nutritional therapy.
Treatments offered for Osteoporosis are knee and hip replacement surgery, though this condition can be reversed by dietary changes, one form of nutritional therapy. It has been found that:
Yet, despite the existence of actual cures, neary 1.2 million Americans die each year of some chronic illness. (Source: Centers for Disease Control & Prevention, 2011). Why aren't more people aware of cures that should be made available to them? It all goes back to the "FDA", the Food and Drug Administration.
The Food and Drug Administration caters to the pharmaceutical industry by smoothing the way from laboratory to market for its products, and works to protect it from health suppliers whose products are less expensive and do, in fact, cure disease.
Avandia was rushed to market, despite the fact that Robert Misbin, the drug's reviewer, had found a link between this drug and heart problems. In response to Misbin's objections, a high ranking official of the FDA stated: "We have to maintain good relations with the drug companies because they are our customers."
Only after California Congresswoman Diane E. Watson, who used the drug to treat her Type 2 Diabetes, was diagnosed with a heart murmur, was a Congressional hearing called on the FDA's approval of the drug.
Controlled by a legion of political appointees, the powers that be of the FDA have a long history of overriding their own scientific review panels and approving drugs for market that have red flags attached by medical researchers. Top level FDA officials have learned that, by staying on friendly terms with the large pharmaceutical companies, they can enjoy high paying jobs when their government posts are up. Thus, we have a system that favors drugs over natural remedies; a system that favors sickness over health. While no drug has ever been shown to do anything but dull pain, drugs are promoted as having the power to cure disease while information on the vitamins, minerals and other food supplements that are actually making people well has been concealed.
Through long uninterrupted use, the American people have acquired an addiction to drugs, and the only way to cure that addiction is to cure those diseases that have held them captive for so long.
It is time for all patriotic Americans to join hands in opposing those who profit by concealing the truth and support pioneers of a healthcare system that will be the envy of all nations. In so doing, they'll soon find that affordable care is just around the bend.

A low intake of animal products and high intake of plant foods facilitate the growth and repair of bones, and
Green leafy vegetables provide abundant sources of Vitamin K, Beta Carotene, Vitamin C, fiber, Calcium and Magnesium, all of which promote the development of a healthy skeletal structure.
