Recap: Clash of the Titans
General Hospital Recap for November 16, 2014
Break Up
Duke enters Anna's office. She's civil, but not particularly warm. They discuss what she did to Faison. Her now ex notes that she lied to him for a year, and feels they are on balanced ground. Anna does not agree. He lied to keep Sonny from a murder charge; she lied to protect him and her family from a monster.
She tells Duke that he's too enamored of Sonny's mob life.
There is no way they can continue their relationship. Before he leaves, he informs her that he's taking over Sonny's territory while he's in prison. "So it seems," he says, "that we will be in a relationship after all."
A Wyndemere Thanksgiving
Dr. Obrecht stands at the door of Wyndemere and is greeted by Spencer dressed as a pilgrim. He does not know who she is, and he's not with the love of his life today, so all is lost. She hands him a pan of spaetzle, a German noodle dish, and throws her coat on top of it. "We have people for this," he objects. Nikolas dispatches him to the kitchen.
Britt works on setting the table, and Obrecht cries about poor, cold, and alone Faison. Little does she know that her husband is right outside the house, looking in the window.
A Pentonville Thanksgiving
Carly visits Sonny at Pentonville and is told she has an hour. An hour? Boy, membership does have its privileges. Sonny tells her that he is doing okay. He has his medication, he's dealing with his claustrophobia, the prisoners and guards leave him alone.
Prison doesn't compare to losing Michael's love. His ex-wife breaks it to him that Michael has moved in with the Quartermaines and changed his name. Happy Thanksgiving.
A Quartermaine Thanksgiving
At the Quartermaine mansion, Sam arrives with Danny so that Monica can see him. Michael is also there, and both of them ask her to stay. Sam states that she has plans with Elizabeth and Patrick. Larry Ashton appears as Sam leaves, and he is under the impression that Sam is Patrick's wife. Michael says no, she is not.
Olivia, Dante and Lulu show up. Tracy is thrown out of the kitchen by Ned as she tries to check on the dinner. Monica announces that everything is on board for an actual meal this year. Unfortunately, as usual, it's not going to happen. The cook later contracts food poisoning and after tasting everything, she doesn't know which dish caused it. Pizza again. Alice went on that assumption and already has them. They sing "We Gather Together" and dig in.
An Uninvited Guest
The doorbell rings at Elizabeth's, and Jake/Jason answers the door. Helena stands there and graciously greets him. She describes herself as an old friend of the family. He invites her in. She looks familiar to him, but Helena says that she "just has one of those faces." Right.
Jake fetches Elizabeth, but when they return, the new guest has gone. He explains that he didn't get her name, and Elizabeth assumes a memory was just coming to the fore. This offends Jake a little. she wasn't a hallucination, and to prove it, he'll run out and get her. He throws open the door, and there are Sam, Danny, and Patrick. Danny again runs to Jake.
Freed from the Ties that Bind Him
Alexis and Julian enter Luke's room at Miscavige, and Alexis looks in horror at the straightjacketed man on the bed. She turns him over. It's Luke, passed out from sedatives. She manages to wake him up, and he's glad to see her. She frees him slowly from his restraints as he complains about the imposter living his life. She says that she has heard about it from Julian.
When Luke realizes Julian was part of it, he's furious. Alexis says, "He shot Lucas." "He threatened my family. I didn't have a choice," Julian says. Alexis tells Julian it would be best if he left. He hesitates to leave her there, but leaves. Alexis wants to take Luke to General Hospital, but he refuses. No more hospitals. She acquiesces, but insists that they go to see Anna.
A Faison Thanksgiving
Nathan is spending Thanksgiving with his family at Wyndemere. By now, Helena is outside with Faison. As he's about to walk in, she grabs him. "I wouldn't do that if I were you," she warns him, adding that Nathan is a police detective. She also reminds him that he has a job. "I don't take orders from you," he snarls. "You are supposed to be dealing with Jason Morgan." "Don't be the reason our plans don't work," she says.
Inside, everyone is ready for dinner. Spencer realizes that he has left his pilgrim hat in the other room, so Obrecht, in the spirit of the holiday, goes to get it for him. When Faison sees her alone in the room, he walks in.
A Very Welcome Guest
Alexis enters Wyndemere, which surprises Sam, as she understood that her mother could not spend Thanksgiving with her. "Someone wants to see all of you," she says. "I hope you saved a slice for me," Luke says as he enters. Tracy glows. He looks at her lovingly and winks.
Happy Thanksgiving, indeed.
