Beyond Self Defense Weapons: The True Foundation Of Power

Is it true? Can anyone develop true power to overcome any enemy, regardless of your physical condition, age or sex? Aren't you supposed to be stronger, taller, and more knowledgeable in martial arts in order to successfully defend yourself? Prepare yourself to shake your belief system's foundation: power does not reside in physical strength per se.
Of course, physical strength is a plus, although it is not a requisite.
The same goes for martial art knowledge.
Some of you might think: "Ah, I know where you are going: for you, being powerful means carrying self defense weapons such as TASER devices, stun guns or pepper sprays, right?".
WRONG, with capital letters.
True power is so much more than just that as well.
In fact, there is a more powerful self defense weapon.
It is even more powerful than kicks, punches, electrical discharges or chemical sprays.
So powerful, that it can create and destroy nations...
literally.
Without it, none of the above self defense methods has any real value.
Did we mention that you already own that weapon? Do you want to know what it is? The very foundation of power is intelligence (Charles Darwin spoke of the "survival of the fittest", which supports our point).
Consequently, you don't necessarily have to be stronger or taller than anyone.
You just need to be able to outwit the enemy.
Intelligence is what makes everything else possible.
Self defense knowledge is power.
That makes your mind your most powerful weapon.
Did you know it? Maybe you did.
Some of you might even argue that it is common sense knowledge.
You know what? Maybe it is.
However, because as human beings we are all imperfect, there is a saying that goes: "Common sense is the least common of all senses".
What that means is that mental judgment processes can fail from time to time...
and that goes for all of us.
Bottom line? It is NOT a matter of whether or not you knew that your mind is your most powerful self defense weapon.
The real question is...
What are you doing about it? Take a hard look at yourself..
..
have you trained your mind for survival, which is (without any doubt) your most important skill in life? Would you (and your loved ones) be totally unprotected right now...
if danger came knocking at your door this very instant? Any self defense move you make, any use you make of TASER weapons, stun guns or pepper sprays, is the result of mental processes that began in your mind.
Techniques and self defense weapons are just extensions of those mental processes that can literally be controlled by you.
Without these mental processes in place, your weapons -lethal or non lethal- are no good at all.
In fact, your actual mental processes may constitute great obstacles to any productive self defense action at this very moment.
Welcome to reality: Your thought patterns can make you lose your life today; likewise, they can prolong your life for many, many long years to come.
As English Philosopher Sir Francis Bacon (1561-1626) used to say: "Knowledge is Power".
So there may be old weak thought habits to unlearn and new powerful thought habits to learn.
What's the alternative? Do nothing.
Postpone your family's safety needs and your own.
But you would just be putting yourselves at risk by doing that: criminals will follow Sun Tzu's (the author of "The Art of War") crushing advice against you: "Attack him where he is unprepared, appear where you are not expected" ("The Art of War" is a Chinese military treatise that was written in the 6th century BC).
Conclusion? You must take your time to strengthen your mind...
if you want a safer future for you and your loved ones.
Exercise your thoughts to become the powerful self defense weapons they can be.
How? Start by reading about self defense moves and weapons today.
Learn how to use them.
Learn how to avoid dangerous situations in the first place.
Educate yourself.
Develop your self defense intelligence by adapting what you learn to your real life circumstances.
In time, you'll really be able to overcome stronger and taller enemies...
if you discipline your mind on what you need to do (and what self defense weapons you need to carry) in any dangerous situation.
Your life, and that of your loved ones, might depend on it maybe sooner than you think.
There is really no time to waste!
