- 1). Connect your iPod to the Ubuntu computer with a USB cable.
- 2). Launch Rhythmbox by select "Applications," "Multimedia" and then "Rhythmbox." If this is your first time using Rhythmbox, you will be presented with a simple setup wizard in which you can specify the location of your music library location.
- 3). Select the songs you wish to put on to your iPod and drag them to the iPod icon in the left-hand navigational sidebar of Rhythmbox.
- 4). Right-click on the iPod icon and select "Eject iPod" when you have finished adding songs to your device to synchronize the device. Rhythmbox will notify you when it is safe to remove your iPod.
