How do I Apply for a Visa From the Netherlands to the United Kingdom?
- 1). Visit the Visa4UK homepage, click the "Apply for a UK visa now" button and then read the "New Visa Application - Before you apply" overview information.
- 2). Check the "I have read the above information and the relevant guidance notes" check box and then click "Continue." A separate window opens.
- 3). Create a Visa4UK account by completing the fields provided, clicking "Next" and then following the prompts. Upon completing the creation of your account, you are redirected to the Online application form.
- 4). Complete the Online Application form and then submit the form by following the prompts. Once you submit your completed application form, you are redirected to another page where you must schedule your visa appointment online.
- 5). Choose a date from the list of options and then follow the prompts to confirm your appointment.

Gather supporting documentation for your application, which includes a three-month bank statement history, proof of accommodation arrangements in the UK, documents verifying your legal status in The Netherlands, such as a valid Schengen Visa, residence permit or proof of Dutch citizen and documents supporting the purpose of your trip.

Submit your visa application in person and then allow up to one and a half weeks for the approval and processing of your visa. According to WorldBridge, "during the busiest periods of the year, normally July, August, September and December, this can go up to three weeks."
Since visa applications are forwarded to the British Consulate General in Dusseldorf, Germany for assessment, the British Consulate General in Amsterdam will notify you when your visa is ready for pick up, in which case you must return to the consular office to collect the visa.
