Lung Cancer Trumps Smoking

It seems that the education of quitting smoking and lung cancer may be in the news on a daily basis but doesn't mean the facts are right. Until people really start learning the facts the questions will never go away.
As long as lots of people are smoking then lots of people will also be dyeing from lung cancer. So of course if we could focus on quitting smoking then things like a dramatic drop in lung cancer would just fall into place.
I know not all lung cancer is as a result of smoking but I bet you didnt know that almost 90% of lung cancer is as a result of smoking.
There really is no argument when we say people who smoke don't value life. If a person were to value their life they would give themselves more then a 10% chance at living. Anyone can argue as much as they want. They can say that it will never happen to them. However anyone can think what they want but the chances are very high that if people continue to smoke then in one way or another smoking will kill them.
The real only way to give yourself a chance is to quit smoking and take that factor out of your life. Of course so many people are going to say quitting smoking just isnt the easiest thing to do. While that may be true we really need to realize that death is forever. Death is not forgiving. Once you are dead its too late to look back and wish you had done things differently.
It really is a matter of wanting something bad enough. Is it really tough to want to live? I want to say I dont think so. In saying that we should put the its impossible to quit thoughts out of our head and decide we are going to quit no matter how tough it is and we will use whatever we find that works. For example we can try cold turkey. If that doesnt work we can try stuff like lozenges, gum or the patch. Of course there are the quit smoking programs that we can find all over the place. If you are serious about wanting to live you will work on this until you officially become a non smoker.
Wanting to quit should be the biggest want you ever think of. I totally agree with that but what other reason do you need other then being able to live a lot longer. To me being able to live longer and avoiding lung cancer is the only real reason I need to quit smoking.
