What Is Eye Strain and How Can I Fix It?

What is Eye Strain? Eye strain is simply when you strain your eyes.
You've worked them too hard or damaged them.
They may be dried out, and the muscles may be fatigued.
Eye strain is caused by focusing on one thing for a long period of time.
The most common thing that causes eye strain is staring at a computer screen for too long.
If a computer screen is too bright, has a glare or is too close to someone's eyes it can cause irreversible damage.
If you notice you are developing eye strain and take measures to prevent it, you may save yourself from needing glasses prematurely.
If you ignore the warning signs and symptoms and continue to strain your eyes, you will ruin your eyes.
How Can You Fix This Type of Strain? If you didn't already deteriorate your vision then there is a lot you can do to fix this type of strain.
Most of the things are simple and do not take much time or effort.
First make adjustments to your computer.
You can change the settings and adjust the brightness, coloring, and contrast of your computer monitor.
Also, make sure your eyes are level with the top half of your computer monitor and sit about an arm length's away from the screen.
The most fun part of preventing this type of strain is taking lots of breaks.
Your boss may not like this, but you can give your eyes a break without even getting out of your desk chair.
Give your eyes at least a ten minute break for every hour they are looking at a computer.
Get up and stretch, go for a walk, or turn your chair away from the computer and close your eyes.
Any type or break and rest for your eyes will do you good.
Now you can properly deal with eye strain and save your vision.
Pass information about eye strain on to your friends, family, and coworkers that work long hours at a computer.
