There - I said it and I meant it.
Someone pointed out to me one time that I should write a book entitled "If You Knew What I Knew...
" about the dangers of pesticides as it would be a huge hit.
But do people really WANT to know how deadly their everyday existence is? Although I have found it deliciously easy to stop using pesticides and dangerous chemicals, there are those who would shudder at the thought of actually having to tolerate a few more fleas on their dog and heaven forbid, there may be a few ants in the kitchen window.
Typically, most people's reaction is to call in the exterminating firing squad yet if they only knew...
Here a just a few quick facts to make you shudder a bit -
Be afraid.
Be very afraid! The GOOD news is there are options - and pest control does not have to mean environmental Armageddon.
We do not have to poison ourselves, our families, our beloved animals and Mother Earth to live peacefully with the creatures known as pests.
Now I don't mean let's embrace a roaches-are-our-friends mentality because they're not.
They are disgusting and gross and I'd do fine to never see one again! But do I want to eradicate the species from the planet and in turn eradicate all of mankind due to the environmental fallout? NO! I just want to live my life - peacefully and safely pest-free.
So that is what I am doing.

- The spot-drop treatments given to our beloved pets are like pouring poison in their veins and are known to shorten their lives by at least 25%.
- Synthetic pesticides cannot be metabolized by the human body - so if we ever absorb, inhale, or ingest pesticides, they remain in our body.
Pretty much like plastic in the landfill... - Pesticides are known to be causal agents for a host of health issues such as ADHD, Autism, Alzheimer's, Diabetes, Cancer, the Gulf War Illness, etc.
- Pests are becoming immune to synthetic pesticides.
It's called 'Pesticide Resistance' which is a fancy scientific name that means pesticides don't work anymore so let's go get stronger, more lethal doses so the pests will continue to die.
Pests today can handle 1000 times the doses of just 10 years ago! - Most pesticides used today are odorless, colorless and tasteless so you have NO IDEA when you are being exposed! Schools, malls, hotels, theaters, doctor's offices, hospitals, businesses, and anywhere you go may have been treated right before you got there and you're just a-swimming in the fumes with no idea.
