About this time of year most people with grandkids have formulated a list of Christmas gift ideas for kids.
When Santa's Old Helper was a kid, I always had my Christmas gift list, complete with page numbers out of the Spiegel catalog, ready for Santa by about Halloween.
But now, with social media and the Internet, kids can e-mail their Christmas gift list to Santa Claus.
I feel certain that he has a lot of bandwidth on his server!(LOL) Having been able to view some of these e-mails, this is what I've come up with as some good Christmas gift ideas for kids.

• Playskool Alfie is a cute little robot looking guy.
  A learning toy for small children, my little robot buddy teaches kids about numbers and letters.
  
• Weebles Wobble is a large collection of little Weebles Pals.
  They include Castle Pals complete with an optional Weebalot Castle, Weebleville, Weeble Hood Pals, Weeble we-go-cart, We-go- round, and various other playsets and Weebles Pals collections.
  
• LeapFrog Leapster Explorer is another learning toy for children.
  It teaches them about numbers, alphabet, and basic problem-solving skills.
  
• Electronics For Kids just get more advanced and cheaper.
  Nearly all battery-operated and all way too cool.
  
• Scrabble Flash Cubes is a new take on an old game.
  Instead of having a gazillion pieces to lose, Scrabble Flash Cubes just has five larger pieces which are little easier to keep up with.
  
• Spy Toys are little cooler than the Dick Tracy watch I knew is a kid.
  Now there are actual video watches that you can take pictures or video with.
  And yes, it also has sound.
  
• Air Hogs Havoc Heli is a small little remote control helicopter that you fly indoors! This thing is so light that the manufacturer doesn't recommend you fly it outdoors.
  
• RC Toys, or remote control toys, have gotten all too cool! There are powerful remote-controlled boats that skim across the water at high-speed.
  There are remote-controlled race cars so small they will fit a child's hand.
  And there are remote-controlled airplanes that actually fly circles around the real ones!
• Wii With Wii Sports Resort Nintendo has revamped their Wii gaming system to include a sports resort where a new play five different sports all in comfort in front of your couch! Exercise and losing weight will never be more fun!
• PlayStation 3 160GB Sony has made vast improvements on their PlayStation 3.
  this particular version includes 160 GB of memory, Blu-Ray and can play video games about anything you can dream about.
  

At the time of this writing there are still about 40 days left until Christmas.
I'm having a blast being Santa's Old Helper, getting the gifts for my grandkids.
I can't wait for Christmas Day to see the look on their faces!
