How to Join the Baltimore City Police
- 1). Go to Baltimore's online application for police and complete the 8 page document asking for identifying information, education background, military service, arrest and conviction history, employment history, address history, five personal references and an itemized list of your debts. Print the completed application.
- 2). Take the application with you to the Baltimore police headquarters when taking the civil service test. Testing reservations do not have to be made. The test is issued every Tuesday at 12:30 pm and 6:00 pm. A list of dates and times can be found at:

- 4). Make an appointment to take a physical agility test after a successful interview. These tests are conducted on Saturdays. Once successfully completed, all of your paperwork is then forwarded by the recruitment unit to the application investigation unit.
- 5). Schedule dates for a polygraph test, psychological and medical evaluations if chosen to continue in the application process. Upon successful completion of these examinations, you will be chosen to complete six months of training. This concludes the Baltimore police training application process.
