Redneck Girl

    • According to the old Bellamy Brothers song "Redneck Girl," a redneck girl is a female who enjoys country living and the activities associated with that lifestyle, including riding around in her father's pickup truck and listening to country music. A redneck girl is defined as a bit of a tomboy. She's a woman or a girl who enjoys outdoor activities just as much as the boys do.

    Activities

    • Redneck girls like a variety of outdoor activities, including hunting, attending mud bogs, car races, fishing and riding around on ATVs. Often, redneck girls can perform these activities just as well as men. They are definitely not afraid to get their hands dirty and be outside.

    Clothing

    • Redneck girls tend to wear a variety of clothing. Some redneck girls prefer to dress more tomboyish, while others prefer to wear skimpier, more revealing clothing. Jeans and T-shirts are usually a staple, regardless of which style they choose. Sometimes boots are worn, especially when working outside. Other times, sneakers or sandals are worn, depending on the person. Baseball caps are also commonly used. Some redneck girls also enjoy wearing camouflage.

    Attitude

    • Though redneck girls can be nice, they can also be tough. They have a "don't mess with me" attitude and generally have no problems speaking their minds, especially if something annoys them or they do not agree with something that someone said or did. Redneck girls would never be confused with the other archetype of Southern female culture: the Southern belle.
